Dreaming and Picking Petals
An unfinished wearable art jewellery collection emerging from these anxious times. A lot of fiddling with coloured threads and petals made out of hammered recycled silver. Giving shape to scintillating but subtle jewellery. Many knots in between the petals. Many many knots. Knotting, as hammering may be a way of channeling anxieties as a sort of meditation... or it might just be a crazy useless, but poetic, loss of time, like picking petals, one by one, off daisies.
Un peu, beaucoup, passionnément, à la folie... pas du tout ?

“Dreaming and Picking Petals” is a contemporary jewellery collection by Geneva-based artist Julie Usel, inspired by dreamlike states and fleeting gestures, transforming delicate materials into wearable forms that invite a dialogue between chance, intuition, and imagination.
